Welcome to the Mirror Pond Project
You are invited to participate in developing a plan to address the build up of silt and future maintenance of Mirror Pond. A number of alternate plans (visions) will be developed with your help through a community outreach program intended to find a single broadly supported plan (vision) that will guide immediate and long-term responses to the silt deposits. The final 'preferred plan' (vision) will be used in fund raising, construction plans, and permitting efforts needed to make your final plan a reality.
Step 1: Identify Public Values and Priorities Associated with Mirror Pond
Step 2: Identify Immediate and Long Term Strategies (Visions) to Address the Build-up of Silt
Step 3: Identify a Preferred Strategy (Vision) for Immediate and Long Term Actions
The launch of this website was followed by a series of public meetings that provided project background, invited questions from the public, and reviewed future 'plans' (visions). A Questionnaire was created to gather information about what the general community values most about Mirror Pond. Look for the results of that Questionnaire on this website after Feburary 28th, 2013.
Current Activities: here's what we're doing now
Four Optional Visions for Mirror Pond's future have been prepared for public review
Bend Park and Recreation District will have displays of these Options at several community events through June and into July
Check out the list of events (below) for opportunities to review the Options
The Options will also be posted on this website on the 'Visions' page
A questionnaire has been created to capture your input on the four Options. Click on 'Options' to go directly to the questionnaire.
